Winston Earl Wayne Sr.

WAYNE, Winston Earl Sr., age 90 of Plattsburg, Ohio passed away on Monday, December 30, 20024 at Madison Health in London, Ohio. He was born on September 8, 1934 to the late William Henry Thornton and Hettie Elizabeth Wayne in Glendale, Ohio. In addition to his parents, Winston was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth (Catchapaw) Wayne and a granddaughter. He leaves behind his children: Winston "Buddy" Earl (Lisa) Wayne Jr., William "Bill" Harley (Carol) Wayne, Timothy Earl (Teresa) Wayne, Elizabeth Ann Jones, and Susan Wayne; nine grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson as well as a close family friend who Winston considered his "adopted daughter" Dawn Newman. Winston served his country in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and retired from General Motors after 35 dedicated years. He enjoyed camping, boating and being a member of the Triple Creek Sams. A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 5, 2025 at Ingling Williams & Lewis Funeral Home, South Charleston from 2:00-5:00 p.m. with his funeral following on Monday, January 6, 2025 beginning at 1:00 p.m. Winston will be laid to rest in Plattsburg Cemetery.
