William R. Duane

DUANE, William R., 69, of Springfield, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. He was born on July 18, 1950, to the late William J. Duane and Ruth E. (Jones) Duane in Springfield, Ohio. In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his sisters: Cathy (Robert) Clark and Sandy (Jim) Kinsella. He is survived by his brother: Doug Duane; sons: William C. Duane and Jason (Amy) Branam; daughter: Amy Schear; grandchildren: Noah Patrick Branam, Elise Rynae Branam, Samuel J. Schear, and Seth D. Schear; nieces and nephews: Staci Brown, Nicole Darcy, Mike Kinsella, John Kinsella, and Mark Kinsella. William served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. He was one of the first graduates from Wright State University with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts Degree. He was an avid musician and fine artist. William retired from Springfield City Schools. A graveside service will be held to honor William’s life Saturday, July 18th, 2020 at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
