William Orville Ross Jr.

ROSS, William Orville Jr., age 96 passed away peacefully at his home july 4, 2020.  He was born on September 22, 1923 in Richmond, Indiana.  William served honorably in the United States Army in Europe during World War II.  He retired from Wright Patterson Air Force base as a locksmith, but continued his own locksmith business for a few more years.  William also enjoyed golfing with his friends and was a trustee at his church, First Baptist Church in Yellow Springs.  William is survived by his wife of 74+ years, Thelma; daughter, Marsha (Cornelius); brother, Federico (Miriam); 3 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his son, William O. Ross III. A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9, 2020 from 11:00 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Yellow Springs with his service beginning at 12:00 p.m. Burial at Glen Forest Cemetery with military honors.
