William “Bill” Weith Nevius, age 84, passed away surrounded by his family on September 27, 2022 in Springfield, Ohio. He was born on June 7, 1938 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Charles and Naomi (Tonkinson) Nevius. Bill is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary Esther (Whitacre) Nevius, sons: William (Nancy) Nevius and Brian (Donelle) Watson, daughters; Karen (Billy) Born, Theresa Nevius, and Mindy (Curt) Britton, brother, Charles Nevius, sister, Joanne McCown, 7 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and longtime best friend, Terry Dyer.
Bill was a member of the Northridge Lions Club. He was the District 13E Secretary and Treasurer. He retired from car sales at Ford after many years. In his freetime, Bill enjoyed fishing and boating. He was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, and Cincinnati Bengals fan. Bill was a jokester and always had a witty remark. Overall, his favorite thing was watching his grandkids at their sporting events.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., officiated Pastor Jim Britton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Northridge Lions Club in Bill’s honor.
