Trena L. Hobbs

Trena Louise Hobbs age 63 of Springfield, Ohio passed away on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Ohio State University Medical Center. She was born on August 27, 1961 to the late Maurice and Jeanne (Hunter) Humphrey. In addition to her parents, Trena was preceded in death by her brother, Mark Humphrey. She leaves behind her beloved children: Jason (Shannon) Humphrey, Krista (Jimmy) Compton and Danielle (Keith Crochran) Hobbs; grandchildren: Jordan, Karissa, Kaleyah, and Kaylee Compton and Kainen and Jaes Humphrey. Trena is also survived by her siblings: Trudy Brackney, Maurice Paul (Dianne) Humphrey I, Treva (Richard) Blessing and Tonda (Brent) Desentz; numerous nieces and nephews as well as Robin Seitz Wano who she shared 55 years of friendship, and dear friends, Paul Moore and Pam Johnson. 

Trena was very family oriented, her children were her pride and joy and she stayed close to them every day. She loved watching all six of her grandchildren grow up. Staying all night at "Nana's" was so special; playing cards and board games and making crafts. Singing songs to them and they are still able to recite the words to this day. In 2018, she retired from Meijer where she met friends and still keeps a close connection with. Cooking was her speciality and passion; she enjoyed coming up with new recipes and inviting everyone over to enjoy her family favorites. She always enjoyed going camping, playing BINGO, or going to a casino. She never missed an episode of Cash Explosion and you never dared to call on Saturdays at 7 p.m. Trena was truly a special person who will be greatly missed. 

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center from 2:00-4:00 p.m. with her memorial service beginning at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Kevin Moehn officiating.
