Tommy (Tom) Patrick, 67 of Springfield, Ohio, a dedicated family man, passed away surrounded by family on February 21, 2025, at Miami Valley Hospital after a period of declining health. He was born on May 27, 1957, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, where he laid the foundations for a life filled with love, passion, and commitment to his family and community.
Tom was well-known for his work as the owner and operator of Back to Life Taxidermy, where he showcased his artistic talents and respect for nature. His dedication to his craft not only brought joy to his clients but also reflected his lifelong passion for hunting and the outdoors. An avid fisherman, Tom spent countless hours enjoying the tranquility of nature, finding both solace and excitement in the great outdoors. His enthusiasm extended beyond fishing and hunting; he was an ardent, life-long fan of the Chicago Cubs baseball team, and was passionate about NASCAR.
In addition to his interests, Tom's proudest accomplishments included creating a website for the Electric Bass Circuit, showcasing his creativity and dedication to the fishing community. Tom was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He will be remembered for his warm, and witty sense of humor.
Tom was known as a proud "Papaw Box" to his beloved grandchildren, Ezekiel and Calista McKinney, who brought immense joy to his life. His family was everything to him. He is survived by his loving wife, Vickie (Hamblin) Patrick; his mother, Barbara (Sexton) Patrick; his daughter, Shannon (Jeremy) McKinney; his son, Ryan Patrick; his sister, Peggy Smith; and his brother-in-law with whom he had a great friendship with, Donald Hamblin. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Carl Patrick, and his special friend, Timmy Wooten.
The community will pay respects during visitation on February 27, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, followed by the funeral service at 1:00 PM. Tom will then be laid to rest at Enon Cemetery with military honors.
Tom Patrick will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love for his family, passion for nature, and zest for life will continue to resonate in the hearts of his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends.
