Therese A. Young

YOUNG, Therese A. age 87 of Springfield, Ohio formerly of Urbana passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Wooded Glen Health Campus.  She was born on December 10, 1935 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to the late Gerard and Regina (Eichner) Boberg.  In addition to her parents, Therese was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 36 years, Edward A. Young and her brother Edward Boberg. She leaves behind her children: Kevin Cork, Karen Wheeland, Kathy Lowe, Keith (Marcia) Cork and Kenneth (Caroline) Young; 10 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great grandchildren as well as many special friends.  Therese was employed by the Urbana University for many years where she got to know many students and hosted many get togethers. She was dedicated to sending cards for every occasion and ran "Thoughts From You" for twenty years.  You could always find her reading one of her romance novels and was proud to say she was part of Gold Star Wives.  Per her final wishes, Therese didn't want a formal service, instead she would want a donation made in her honor to either Dementia Society of America or any Veterans organization.  Condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.jacksonlytle.com
