Sue Ann Johnson, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2025, at the age of 83. Born on June 24, 1941, in Springfield, Ohio, she lived her entire life in the area.
Sue cherished her time spent at her second home on the Ohio River, especially her family gatherings where she would cook and entertain the family. Whether it was enjoying the excitement of riverboat gambling or traveling to Las Vegas, her passion for life was evident. Alongside her husband, she loved travelling doing the car circuits with their hotrods. She was heavily involved for years in her high school alumni, helping to arrange details for eventful reunions.
An avid sports enthusiast, Sue had a deep appreciation for NASCAR, basketball, and football. It was a common sight to find her cheering with enthusiasm while enjoying the thrill of sports on television.
A dedicated and loving wife, Sue adored her husband Clyde Franklin Johnson, Jr., affectionately known as "Frankie," who preceded her in death. The couple shared a deep bond over their 39 years together, creating a legacy filled with love and cherished memories.
Her children held a special place in her heart as well. Sue was particularly close to her daughter Lori, with whom she frequently traveled and embarked on various adventures. Her son, Jeff was who she leaned on in later years of her life. He always made time for her, taking her out to eat and keeping her actively engaged in life.
Sue is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Debra Johnson. Her love also extended to her grandchildren: Jason (Lauren) Williams, Seth (Logan) Johnson, and Sarah Johnson, as well as her great-grandchildren, Parker Williams and Christian Johnson, who were a constant source of joy for her.
In addition to her husband, Sue was preceded in death by her mother, Jessie Burr; her daughter, Lori Williams; and her brother, Dean Burr.
