Steven R. Thacker

Steven Randall Thacker of Springfield, Ohio was welcomed into Heaven by his Savior, Jesus Christ on Sunday, Apr. 30, 2023. Also greeting him in Heaven is his son, Corey L. Thacker, his parents Raymond H. Thacker and Arlene E. Weaver Thacker Speakman, and brother, Greg Thacker.

Steve is now cured from MS, and lung disease and no longer has dementia and his heart is fixed. Psalm 57:7 KJB My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.

He is awaiting in Heaven for his wife of almost 53 years, Debby Jo Steiner Thacker; his sons, Shawn (Esther) Thacker of Newark, Ohio and Cody (Billie) Thacker of Springfield, Ohio; 6 granddaughters and 1 grandson; a widowed daughter-in-law and 5 bonus grandchildren and 3 great grandsons; his sister, Patricia (Clarence) Ferrell of Jamestown, Ohio and brother, David (Brenda) Thacker of Lucasville, Ohio; and lots of nephews & nieces whom he loved; and best friend Roger Davis.

He had the honor of serving as an auxiliary policeman in Jamestown, Ohio, in the U.S. Air Force and serving his Lord as a minister of the Gospel of Jesus for 43 yrs. He loved to make others laugh, sing and play guitar, play golf but mostly preaching and teaching from the Bible. He wrote many poems which he had published, some which he made into songs.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Victory Baptist Church, W. Possum Rd, Springfield, Ohio 45506 on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 11a.m. and will be officiated by Pastors Dan Stinger & David Warner. Burial will be at the Dayton VA.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Victory Baptist Church, Fellowship Tract League.
