Scott Randell Wiederkehr

WIEDERKEHR, Scott Randell age 46 of Springfield passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 31, 2019 at his home.  He was born on September 26, 1973 in Rock Island, Illinois to the late Steve Richard Wiederkehr Sr. and Patricia (Miner) Wiederkehr.  In addition to his father, Scott is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Averil Kolls and paternal grandparents Lester & Freda Wiederkehr . He leaves behind to forever cherish his memory his mother, Patricia; siblings: Steve (Joyce) Wiederkehr Jr., Denise (Brad) Sherman and his twin brother, Shawn Wiederkehr; nieces and nephews: Justin Wiederkehr, Stephanie Wiederkehr, Nicholas Sherman, Kasey Wiederkehr, Samantha Wiederkehr, and Alyssa Wiederkehr and his beloved great-niece, Harper Wiederkehr. Scott was employed by Navistar for 22 years and was a life member of AmVets Post 25.  He served his country in the United States Air Force.  Scott was a huge Chicago Cubs fan and loved everything about the game.  You could often find him enjoying a game of darts and he was also active in many city plays including: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner, Our Town and Baby.  Scott will forever be remembered for his genuinely big heart who was always willing to help someone out.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center.  His funeral will follow at 6:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Dave Augustus.  In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions be made to the funeral home.  Expressions of sympathy are forwarded to the family by visiting www.jacksonlytle.com
