Ruth Isabel Young

Ruth Isabel Young, 90, entered the arms of her beloved Savior on September 2nd, 2021, in Centerville, Ohio. Ruth was born on August 14th, 1931, in Dunmore, Pennsylvania. She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and dear husband of 52 years, Wilford Young, who passed in 2005.

Ruth is survived by a cousin, Isabelle Weir; her three children and their spouses, David Young, Mark and Amy (Young) Womack, Jonathan and Sarah Young; her grandchildren, Broc and Amber (Womack) Begley, Roger and Hilary (Young) Slone, Alex and Aubrey (Womack) Carlson, Daniel and Olivia (Young) MacDougall, and Ryan and Alison (Womack) Beach; and nine great grandchildren.

Ruth was a faithful and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. With a sweet spirit and servant heart she ministered to the lives of so many as she served the Lord alongside her pastor-husband. Early in life, Ruth worked as a laboratory technician and enjoyed sewing, knitting, and quilting. In later years, she loved exercising with the Senior Jackets at Cedarville University. She was an active member of Dayton Avenue Baptist Church in Xenia, Ohio. Though a gentle-hearted woman, Ruth was a fierce prayer warrior. Her touch in our lives will be missed.

A private burial is being planned at this time, but her life will be celebrated with family and friends at a future date.
