Robert “Bob” L. Cruikshank, 80, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 17, 2021. He was born on August 1, 1940, in Piqua, Ohio, the son of the late Richard Sr. and Betty (Swank) Cruikshank. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 33 years, Anna (Miller) Cruikshank; daughters, Vickie Napier, Teresa (Chris) Decker and Julie Jenkins; brother, Richard Cruikshank, Jr.; grandchildren, Matthew Napier, Nichole Frantom and Ashlee Christy; step-grandchildren, Joseph Bowermaster and Joseph (Caitlyn) Kemp; great-grandchildren, Amanda and Nathan Napier, Raycelynn Sage, Hunter Spicer and Logan Frantom; step great-grandchildren, Finnegan, Emma, Abby and Liam; sister-in-law, Madonna (Charlie) Parrett; niece, Linda House; friends, Phil Campbell and Roger Shaw; and his many friends from the Southern Ohio Forge and Anvil. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his step-daughters, Brinda Kemp and Donna Bowermaster. Bob was a skilled and talented blacksmith who liked teaching classes, especially to 4-H children. He owned Creative Iron, collected tools as his prized possessions and enjoyed train rides. He will forever be remembered as “Honest Bob, The Working Man’s Friend”. Viewing will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021 from 10a.m. – 12p.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center with service beginning at 12p.m. Burial will follow at Glen Forest Cemetery, Yellow Springs.
