Richard E. Wilson, 88, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 19, 2021. He was born on April 16, 1932, in Xenia, Ohio, the son of the late Elmer and Annie Wilson. Richard is survived by his beloved wife of 66 years, Mary (Randall) Wilson; son, Cecil E. (Brenda) Wilson; daughter, Debbie (Bob) Lemmons; grandchildren, Angela (Rod) Jenkins, Sheila Denney, Richard Lemmons, Cecil Jr. “Buddy” (April) Wilson, and Holly (Kevin) Neth; great-grandchildren, Kai Denney, Sean (Kelis) Denney, Tallon Ford, Joan Jenkins, Richard Jenkins, Jeffery Jenkins, Steven Neth, Tyler Neth and Trey Neth; and great-great granddaughter, Paislee Denney. He is preceded in death by two daughters, Suzie Wilson and Joan Wilson; and several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Richard was a member of the Beacon Street Church of Christ in Christian Union and a proud veteran in the United States Army. He worked and retired from TSPC and after retirement he worked at NAPA Auto Parts. He was a loving and devoted husband, caring father and grandfather who will be deeply missed by all. Viewing will held on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from 11a.m. – 12:30p.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center with service beginning at 12:30p.m. Pastor Mike Phillips will be officiating.
