R. Kenneth “Ken” Powers

POWERS, R. Kenneth “Ken” passed away on Friday, November 27, 2020. Ken was born on January 11, 1940 in Deemston, Pennsylvania to the late Jack and Retta (Litton) Powers. Along with his parents, Ken is preceded in death by his brother, Henry “Hank” Powers and his sister, Celia Powers. He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Maria Powers (Graetz), daughters; Desiree Powers and Cynthia Powers, son, Eric Graetz (Joy), sister, Brenda Powers, grandchildren; Veronica (Mathias), Stefanie (Christoph), Michael, Ben, Natalie, Anja (Matt), Hank, and Greta, and great-grandchildren; Iris, Cam’ron, Astra, Robert, Zehra, Cem, and Max.

Ken selflessly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years, where he eventually retired. He then served 20 years as a civilian on base at Wright Patt Air Force Base. While actively serving, Ken was stationed in Frankfurt, Germany where he met his future wife, Rita. They married in Germany then later returned to the states to begin their life together.
