Peter "Petey" Collier

COLLIER, Peter Matthew "Petey" age 45 of Springfield passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, May 28, 2020. He was born on July 5, 1974 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Peter R. Collier and Alice (Evans) Collier. Petey is preceded in death by his mother, Alice; beloved daughter, Mirada Biniarz; paternal grandparents, Robert and Putti Collier and maternal grandparents, John and Martha Evans. Petey leaves behind his father, Peter (Cindy) Collier; children: Jacob Biniarz, Peter "P.J." Collier, Skylar Ivon, and Destiny "Pookie" Collier; grandchildren: Kiley Jones and Bentley Hall; his siblings: Leslie “Leia” Collier, Mike (Charlene) Collier, Chrissy Collier, Cassy Collier, Missy (Shawn) Shaffner and Bobbi-Jo Mosier as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Petey enjoyed working with his hands and was an incredibly talented carpenter. He was a baseball/softball umpire and loved watching his "Pookie" play the game. Petey was also an ordained pastor and recently got to officiate his first wedding. He attended Highlands Church of Christ and will be sadly missed by all that knew him. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2020 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center with his funeral beginning at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions to be made to a college fund at Wood Forrest Bank for Petey's son P.J.
