It is with heavy hearts that we remember Payne. Those who know Payne know that he was a big outdoorsman who loved pheasant hunting and fishing. His greatest passions were his OSU football team and Purdue basketball team. Payne spent his days listening to music, playing his guitar, and spending time with his beloved dogs, Remington and Finn.
He was preceded in death by his Grampy Ronald Jones, Papaw Mike Magill, Uncle Dan Maurice and his grandpa Terry Keaffaber. He is survived by his mother and father, Erin and Eric Rife, his sister, Emma Rife, Mamaw Nancy Magill, Great-Grandmas Mary Jones and Shirley Keaffaber, grandparents Jay and Tina Rife and all his cousins, aunts and uncles.
Visitation to honor Payne’s life will be held on Saturday, April 5 from 1-3pm at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center with service beginning at 3pm.
In remembrance of Payne, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Pheasants Forever or the 988 suicide and crisis lifeline. Your generous contributions will honor Payne’s memory and support causes that were meaningful to him. If anyone feels that they too are struggling with their mental health and needs help, please do not hesitate to call the suicide prevention hotline, 988.
