STRICKLAND, Nancy Louise age 84 of Springfield passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at Oakwood Village. She was born on July 31, 1935 to the late Robert and Arlene (Roberts) Shook in Springfield, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard L. Strickland and two brothers, Clarence Shook and Harold Shook. She leaves behind her two daughters, Brenda L. (Jerome) Vinson and Denise L. Mowder; grandchildren: Vanessa Vinson, Victoria (Matthew) Yokom, Justin Vinson, Valerie Matson, Luke Stickford, Arielle Stickford, and Mark Stickford and great-grandchildren: Levi Matson and Nathanael Richard Yokom. Nancy retired from Springfield Christian Schools after 20 years of dedicated service. She was a member of High Street Church of the Nazarene and was very devoted to her faith. She loved music and was a talented organist. Nancy was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed every minute she was able to spend with her family. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center from 6:00-8:00 p.m. with her funeral following on Sunday, March 1 beginning at 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home, officiated by Reverend Marty Dennis.
