Nancy Jean Jahns-Taylor, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on February 17, 2025, at Springfield Regional Medical Center. Born on June 5, 1945, in Moline, Illinois and graduated from Moline High School in 1963. Nancy lived a life deeply rooted in love and service.

A dedicated professional, Nancy retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base, where she spent 20 years as a civilian in the Air Force Security Assistance Center (AFSAC). Her work constructing international agreements with friendly forces exemplified her commitment to fostering cooperation and understanding across borders.

Nancy possessed a generous spirit, dedicating a significant portion of her life to her family and community. She was a passionate Sunday school teacher and actively participated in Kids Hope at West Enon Church of God. Her faith was an integral part of her life, as she also attended Maiden Lane Church of God and most recently Northminster Presbyterian Church.

Known for her vibrant personality, Nancy loved shopping, reading, and traveling. An aficionado of good coffee and a self-proclaimed fudge fanatic, she cherished the simple pleasures of life. She also embraced the joy of giving gifts and was a proud member of the Red Hat Society, where she nurtured friendships with women who shared her zest for life.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Debra Jahns; her sisters, Judy Collins, Barb (Dan) Hawotte, and Marilyn (Bob) Rada; and her grandchildren, Craig (Amanda) Jahns, Molli Jahns, Charlie Jahns, Monica Taylor, Jeff Francis, Haley (Travis) Waller, Ben (Sarah) Taylor, and Jeremy Taylor. She was also the proud grandmother of several great-grandchildren, including Liam, Brooklyn, Bailey, Bekah, Solomon, Lucelia, Leo, Sawyer, Reagan, and Ben II.
