Morgan Cyrena Tackett brought a light into our lives that began on April 10, 2000 and ended June 19, 2019. Born in Springfield, Ohio, to Michael and Tracey Tackett, sister to Mason, she brought joy, love and inspiration to those around her. Morgan was a recent graduate of Global Impact Stem Academy, a student at Clark State Community College, and was scheduled to start classes this fall at the Columbus School of Art and Design to live out her dream as an artist. She was employed as a hostess at Texas Roadhouse. Morgan enjoyed nature, including hiking with friends and family. She loved creativity and music.
A celebration of her life and work will be held Wednesday, June 26th from 4-7pm at Jackson, Lytle & Lewis, 2425 N. Limestone St., Springfield. Thursday services will be held at Ferncliff Cemetery under the trees along the creek at the very back of the cemetery under a white tent. Opportunity to view at the cemetery will be 11-12, with her service beginning at noon. Morgan will become a part of the outdoor world she loved as she grows into a maple tree, with a final resting place in Ferncliff Cemetery determined at a later date. All services are open to anyone who knew and loved Morgan.
Morgan advocated for those like her living with epilepsy through the Epilepsy Foundation and the Epilepsy Alliance of Ohio, and had the opportunity to share her story with lawmakers in Washington, D.C. in 2015. The family also advocates for mental health through the Ryan Day Foundation with Nationwide Children’s Hospital and stayed at the Ronald McDonald House in Columbus while Morgan spent her last days in the hospital. Donations in her honor to any of these organizations are appreciated. Morgan was loved by many and we will continue her legacy through acts of kindness and inspiration. Please join us along her path.
