Mona Lou Ritchie, 91, passed away October 16, 2020 in Yellow Springs, Ohio. She was the daughter of William B. And Reita Viola Klinger. Mona was born July 31, 1929 in York County, PA. She has been a resident of Friends since 2019, coming from Cedarville, Ohio where she was a member of Grace Baptist Church. Mona was married to the late Wyman Ritchie for 59 years. Wyman pastored churches in Cossayuna, NY, Grapeville, NY, East Lindley, NY, Methuen, MA, Wellsville, NY, and Barre, VT with Mona by his side for 28 years.
Mona worked in TX, babysitting and ironing while her husband attended Seminary, Then she worked at Cedarville College in OH, Unemployment and Motor Vehicle Departments in Barre, VT, at Baptist Bible College, JCPenney, and in Hampton Inn in Clark Summit, PA.
Mona was preceded in death by her husband, Wyman Ritchie, parents, her infant brother, William B Klinger, brother William B Klinger, and sister-in-law Melodie Klinger. She is survived by her 4 children, Mona Lou White, Nancy Ritchie, Patty (Mike) Stormont, and Tim (Jan) Ritchie, sisters-in-law Susan Klinger and Sherry Ritchie, 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who loved her.
Mona has been ready for many years to meet her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She has now heard “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.”
