Miriam Erle (Woodruff) Phares, age 93, passed peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior on October 13, 2021 in New Albany, Ohio. Miriam was born on August 18, 1928 in Urbana, Ohio to the late Owen and Edna Woodruff. Along with her parents, Miriam is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Roger Phares and sister, Maxine Jurista and brothers; Joseph and William Woodruff. Miriam worked at Producer’s Livestock while raising her children and then retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base. She was a loving wife and mother touching the lives of many, including an extended family, friends and neighbors. Miriam knew no stranger and was a mother and friend to all whom she encountered. Miriam is survived by her 4 children, Roger ‘Kim’ (Melanie) Phares, Michelle (Donald) Castle, Bart (Melissa) Phares, and Melody (Tony) Sekulovski, grandchildren; Danielle (Quentin) White, Stephanie (Tyler) Gates, Seth (Lauren) Castle, Zachary (Rie) Castle, Tyler (Victoria) Phares, Emily (Kane) Gillian, Sarah Phares, Alex, Chloe, and Simon Sekulovski, Jacob (Ally) Long, Keri (Justin) Weaver and great grandchildren; Quinn, Owen, Nolan, Charlotte, Elias, Tucker, Grant, Oliver, Drake, Journey and Karoline.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield.
