Melanie Ann Colley

Melanie Ann (Entler) Colley, of South Charleston, Ohio passed away Tuesday November 21, 2023, surrounded by family in her home. She was born November 17th, 1955 in Springfield Ohio, the daughter of Charles and Mary (Botkin) Entler. Melanie graduated from Southeastern High School in 1974.

Survivors include her loving husband of 42 years, Don at home; her son Don III (Lindsay Ippolito) of Stillwater OK, daughters Cassandra (John) Smith of South Charleston, Kathryn (Chris) Boldman of Palm Beach Gardens FL and 3 grandchildren: Meredith Boldman of Palm Beach Gardens, Nova Colley and River Colley of Stillwater OK; her mother Mary Entler, and brothers including: Doug, Bob (April), and David Entler all of South Charleston, and sister Sue Harber of Louisiana; brothers and sisters-in-law Mike (Marcy) Colley and Tom (Karen) Colley. She loved all of her many nieces and nephews, the Botkin, Entler and Colley (Justice) families and always looked forward to the Family Reunions with all. She was preceded in death by her father Charles Entler, brother, Alan and sister-in-law Melissa Entler.

Melanie loved her animals and deeply enjoyed watching the live feeds from the zoo parks on her IPad. She was a great fan of Country Music and Bluegrass seeing many performances featuring Larry Cordle, Ricky Skaggs and friends as well as the live music of her brother-in-law Mike and the Fleez and the original music of her brother-in-law Tom Colley.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband Don to anywhere in Florida, but especially Port St. Joe and Mexico Beach, Vero Beach and the Palm Beach area but her favorite trip was with Don to New Orleans and then down the Gulf Coast staying at Gulf Shores, Destin, Panama City and Mexico Beach.

Melanie was recently diagnosed with cancer and in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to South Charleston EMS and/or the American Cancer Society.

Visitation will be held at Rose Hill Burial Park, South Charleston Pike, Springfield Ohio from 1 to 2 pm Friday December 1, 2023 with her private Family entombment at 2 pm.
