Mary Martha Owen

Mary Martha Owen, age 79, passed away on November 27, 2022 in Dayton, Ohio. Mary was born on April 23, 1943 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Walter and Mabel (Palmer) Payton. Mary is survived by her children, Peggy Coberly, Robin Owen, William (Cathy) Owen, and Bryan (Becky) Owen Sr., grandchildren; Rex, Billy, Jason, Katie, Christopher, Donnie, Jenna, Bryan II, and Brooke, numerous loved great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, siblings, Jerry Payton and Carolyn Sue Ratliff, and many special friends. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her loving husband, Rex A. Owen, and siblings, Helena, Bobby, and Ronnie.

Mary worked for International Steelwool for over 20 years. She then worked in home health care, where she later retired. Mary loved watching movies and TV dramas. Her favorite hobby was painting ceramics.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield. The funeral service will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 beginning at 10:30 a.m., also at the funeral home. Mary will be entombed at the Rose Hill Mausoleum following the funeral services.
