Marian C. Thomas

Marian C. Thomas, passed away peacefully in her home in Springfield, Ohio on October 3, 2023. She was born on August 31, 1933, in Austell, Georgia to William H. Calhoun and Pauline J. Calhoun. Marian's warm and nurturing nature filled the lives of those around her with love and compassion.

In addition to her parents, Marian was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Thomas; baby daughter, Vivian Thomas; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Throughout her life, Marian touched the lives of many through her dedicated career as a medical secretary at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Her commitment to her work and the people she served earned her the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike. 

Although Marian's career was important to her, it was not the only defining aspect of her life. She resided in Seattle, Washington for over 30 years and cherished every moment spent in that vibrant city. These years were filled with countless memories that she held dear until her final days.

Marian's thirst for knowledge led her to pursue higher education, where she attended college and received her CNA certification. This achievement reflected her desire to constantly improve herself while also serving others selflessly.

Those who knew Marian can attest to the motherly love that radiated from her very being. Her caring nature extended beyond just her immediate family; she was truly her brother's keeper. 

She is survived by her loving son, Gerald Thomas and sister, Adelaide Calhoun. Marian leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews along with numerous extended family members who were fortunate enough to have experienced her love, guidance, and unwavering support.

In this time of mourning, let us remember Marian's life as a celebration of all the joy and happiness she brought into this world. While we grieve her loss, let us also find comfort in the memories we shared with her, as they forever live on in our hearts. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
