Margaret A. Day

DAY, Margaret A. age 71 of Springfield, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, July 28, 2023 at her home.  She was born on January 4, 1952 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Henry and Easter (Wilson) Hensley.  In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her siblings: Dora Mollett, Billy Ruth Hayes, James Robert Hensley, Earl Douglas Hensley, Bonnie Sue Hoffman, Jeane Magoteaux, as well as Emma Hensley and Charles Hensley who passed away as infants.  Margaret leaves behind her devoted husband of nearly 28 years, Gary Day; daughter, Jodi Luke; step-sons: Scott (Julie) Day and Wayne Day; grandchildren: Spencer (Sierra) Luke, Lance (Brittany) Day, Eric Day and Dylan Day and a great-granddaughter. She is also survived by her siblings: Dorothy Marshall, Joyce Scholfield, Henrietta (Robert) Cooper and Lynn (Andy) Elliott and numerous nieces and nephews. Margaret retired from the food industry after many years of dedicated service. She also worked at Community Hospital.  Margaret enjoyed camping and was a member of East High Church of Christ. She will be deeply missed.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2023 at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Her service will begin at 12:00 noon with Pastor Phil Grear officiating.  Margaret will be laid to rest at Green Mound Cemetery in New Madison, Ohio.  In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association in Margaret's honor.  Condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.jacksonlytle.com
