Marc Steven Mccracken

Marc Steven McCracken, 52, of Springfield, unexpectedly passed away on July 21, 2021. He was born on December 5, 1968, the son of James and Donna McCracken. Marc was a graduate of Greenon High School and served in the United States Air Force. He was a dedicated and diligent Head Dispatcher at Bryce Hill. One of his greatest prides was manicuring his lawn and flower beds and making his home beautiful. He had a green thumb and would admire his work. He was an avid OSU Buckeye fan.

He is survived by his wife Brenda (Gragg), parents James and Donna McCracken, brother Bryon “Rusty” McCracken (Jennifer), sister Holly Schuler and brother Aaron Schuler. Stepchildren Aaron Taylor, Joshua (Theresa) Taylor, and Lyndsay (DaVaughn) Staley and Nikki Heaton, sister-in-law Shirley (Darrell) Fahnestock, grandchildren Aryona, Ethan, Liza, Tori, Emma, Elijah, Kylah (Princess), Cedar, Olive, Alexis and Elaina. Nieces Mallorie and Nicollette McCracken. Motherly role models Janet Tackett, Cindy Fischer, and Debbie Kirk who loved him dearly. Special nephew David Hines, special cousin Tabitha Oty, and many friends. His loyal companions, his German Shepherd Diesel and cat Midnight.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Woodrow and Gladys Dixon and wife Debbie McCracken.
Viewing will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 from 11:30a.m. – 1:30 p.m. with service beginning at 1:30 at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
