Mabel Eileen Allen, a dedicated and strong-willed individual, passed away peacefully at Springfield Regional Medical Center on March 14, 2025, at the age of 55, following a long battle with cancer. She was born on March 7, 1970, in Ohio, and her remarkable spirit and determination were throughout her life.
Mabel carved a fulfilling career in security, contributing her skills to both Navistar and the Target Distribution Center, where she earned the respect of her colleagues. Her resilience and outer strength were also mirrored in her personal life, particularly in her passion for fishing with her husband, Jimmy Allen, whenever her health permitted.
Above all, Mabel cherished her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Jimmy, her two devoted daughters, Nakita and Jessie, and her beloved granddaughters, Shylynn and Courtney. Mabel also leaves behind her siblings, Brenda, Shawn, Virginia, Rosemary and Clarence Jr. as well as her step-father, Bud Campbell. Her cherished friends, especially her best friend Mitzi, will remember her for her unwavering support and vibrant personality.
Mabel was a devoted pet lover who found joy and companionship in her dogs, Lilly and Wiggles. Her love for these dogs was a testament to her nurturing spirit and her ability to find joy in the little things in life.
Mabel was preceded in death by her mother, Esther May Annon, whose memory will always remain a part of her legacy and sister, Wendy.
Mabel Eileen Allen will be remembered for her strength, her love for her family, and her indomitable spirit. She touched the lives of those around her and her presence will be dearly missed.
