Lottie Jane Davis peacefully passed away on March 4, 2024 at the age of 89 at Logan Acres. Born October 23, 1934 in Crossville, Tennessee to Elmo and Dora Carr. Lottie is survived by her loving children, Gary (Cindy) Davis and Brenda (David) Haley, grandchildren: Kimberly (Mark), Laura, Andrea (Josh), Tonya (Steve), and David, great-grandchildren: Josie, Peyton, Abigail, Emma, Alyssa, Charlotte, and Cooper, and sisters: Grace Harrison and Bonzie (Bonnie) Allred. Along with her parents, Lottie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ronald Davis.
Lottie had a deep love for nature, be it her flowerbeds, her garden, or the birds fluttering about. And she always was keen to share that love, her flowerbeds a nurturing ground for loving memories, teaching her children (and theirs) about the wonders in gardening. Her care for others would extend to every facet, whether running a 5k where she would invite her family, or a family dinner she would always be concerned that others have enough to eat. And that care would touch others, strangers would become fast friends, she would touch the hearts of many people.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, March 8, 2024 from 11:00-11:30 a.m. at the Rose Hill Burial Park Chapel. The funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m., officiated by Pastor Kevin Moehn. Entombment to follow. Following entombment, there will be a meal at Oak Grove Mennonite Church (1525 Mennonite Church rd West Liberty, Ohio 43357). Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association in Lottie’s honor.
