Linda Kay Massie

Linda Kay Massie, age 77 passed away January 2, 2024. She was born November 20, 1946 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Frank and Mary (Nawman) Rowell. Linda is survived by her loving husband of over 57 years, Dennis Massie, sons: Bobby (Lori) Massie and Ricky (Mary) Massie, grandchildren; William Massie, Kaylea (Mitchell) Miller, Rebbecca (Talon) Paul, and Brittanee Massie, great-grandchildren; Joshua, Amelia, and Elijah, brothers: Stanley and Dale Rowell, sisters: Connie Gilreath and Mildred Depriest, and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her siblings, Melvin Rowell and Joyce DeGarmo.

Linda was a 1964 graduate of Northwestern High School. She went on to work for Northwestern Schools for over 14 years until her retirement. Linda enjoyed baking, painting ceramics and camping with Dennis. They traveled all over with their camper, especially enjoying their time out west and at the Bluegrass Festivals. Linda was also a lifelong member of the Lawrenceville Church of God. She attended the church from when she was 5 years old until her passing. Along with being a dedicated member, Linda was also the President of the Esthers Society and a deaconess. Linda will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.

Family and friends will be received on Monday, January 8, 2024 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at the Lawrenceville Church of God. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., officiated by pastor Alan Cain. Burial to follow at Lawrenceville Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Jackson Lytle and Lewis Life Celebration Center, Springfield.
