Linda K. Davis

DAVIS, Linda K., age 80 of Springfield passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 at her home. She was born on December 14, 1943 to the late Ivan and Eva (Markley) Oglesbee in Urbana, Ohio. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 58 years, Jack Davis who passed away in 2023 as well as her siblings: Larry (Lana) Oglesbee, Janet (Merle) Knox, Ada (Jim) Callison and Rosemary Ballard. She leaves behind her two children: Ann Adkins and Steven (Cathy) Davis; grandchildren: Amanda (Brice) Ferryman, Tina Davis and Hannah Davis; great-grandchildren: Aiden, Riley and Cole Ferryman and numerous nieces and nephews. Linda retired from Columbia Gas after working many years in customer service. She enjoyed traveling with her family and staying at their home in Florida during the harsh Ohio winters. A service has been planned to celebrate both Jack and Linda's lives on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at Terre Haute United Methodist Church at 1:00 p.m.. They will be laid to rest at Terre Haute Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorial contributions be made to the American Heart Association, American Lung Association or American Cancer Society.
