Larry W. Branscum

BRANSCUM, Larry W. age 78 of Springfield passed away peacefully in his home with his wife by his side on Friday, December 8, 2023. He was born on March 13, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Arlie and Eva (Morrow) Branscum. Larry leaves behind his wife and best friend, Betty Jenkins and his siblings: Lewie (Jenette) Branscum, Annitta Roberts, and Allen (Emily) Branscum.  Betty's family which includes her son, Chris Jenkins and her daughter who passed, Tambra Smith, were very special to Larry as well as his trusted friends who were always there when needed, Josh Lunsford and Tracy Oberly. He is also survived by many grandchildren and dear friend, Ionia Farley.  Larry never knew a stranger and loved to tell a good joke to make you smile. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2023 from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center with his funeral beginning at 1:00 p.m.  Larry will be laid to rest in Ferncliff Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital in Larry's honor.  Condolences are forwarded to the family by visiting www.jacksonlytle.com
