On May 23, 2004, a bright-eyed and cheerful baby boy name Koda Lee Austin was born to Amber Nicole Sisler in Springfield, Ohio. His excited big brother, Sevyn Pierce now had a best friend for life. When Koda was 4 years old, Amber and Matthew Viol united and together, they made a beautiful family. A couple years later, Koda became the proud big brother when his sister, Lilyana Viol was brought home. He now not only had a little sister, but someone he could always protect and watch over.
Koda was the typical kid, playing video games, loved being outside and going fishing, playing football and baseball and overall, loved all animals. He adored his dogs so much and he knew from a young age that he wanted to be a veterinarian and always be surrounded by animals of all shapes and sizes. As he got older, he understood the importance of family and was always there for anyone in need. He deeply loved and cared for his family and friends and knew the most important part of life was to support and love those around you. While attending Kenton Ridge High School, he decided he wanted to be a part of the Marching Cougar Band and he proudly played the trombone for 2 years. He was also a member of the Kenton Ridge Choir. Following his passion for animals, Koda attended Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center and had just graduated, being awarded many honors including one of the top 3 seniors in math in the Veterinary Science program. Following graduation, Koda had received scholarships and was to attend Sinclair College to start his career with animals. He was currently working at Tropical Smoothie where he loved his fellow employees and enjoyed meeting new people. He loved to spend time with his girlfriend, Kayla N. and loved spending time with his friends. From the ones he grew up with, Cameron Becraft, to the many he made throughout school, to his best friend, the one he made so many memories with and spent his last minutes with, Joel Cox.
Due to a tragic car accident, Koda left this world on Thursday, May 19, 2022. As his family and friends continue to remember the fun and quirky stories of his life, may they always remember his kind heart, intelligent mind, gentle soul, and soft hugs, his affection for animals, his intense love for family, his love for all things spicy, especially Takis and his huge heart that was always so full of life. He had a smile that will never be forgotten.
In addition to his parents, Amber and Matt Viol, his inspiring brother, Sevyn Pierce and creative sister, Lilyana Viol, he is survived by his loving nanny, Wanda Wilson; outstanding grandpa, Randie Viol; sweet red-headed grandma, Wendy and kind grandpa, Steve; amazing uncle and aunt, Dennis and Krista Viol; and numerous other extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Papa, Michael Little and uncle, James “Bubba” Sisler.
