Kent David Oneal, a cherished son, brother, and friend, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully in his sleep on February 12, 2025, in North Hampton, Ohio, at the age of 57. Born on December 5, 1967, in Springfield, Ohio, Kent embodied the spirit of his hometown and dedicated over a decade of his career to maintenance at CBRE, where his work not only exemplified his strong work ethic but also his commitment to those he served.
Kent's life was filled with joyous moments shared with friends and family. He had a vibrant personality and was known for his love of socializing, often found hanging out with close friends who were drawn to his warmth and infectious enthusiasm. His adventurous spirit shone brightly through his hobbies; whether cook outs, four wheeling, and watching NASCAR, Kent embraced life with a passion that inspired those around him.
He leaves behind a loving family who will deeply miss him. His parents, Bud (Pat) Oneal and Karen Roacha, are heartbroken by the loss of their beloved son. Kent is survived by his brothers, Greg (Miguel) Oneal, Chuck Snyder, Dan Snyder, and Bob (Shelley) Snyder, as well as his dear sister, Jackie Raasch; several nieces, nephews and special cousins: Ricky, Bill and Tom. He is also survived by his Aunt Rinky (Dan) Gallagher and Aunt Jenny (Mike) Ogle. These relationships were integral to Kent’s life, and his special friends that were also considered family: Steve, Jill, Ryan, Travis, Paige & Jonni, Gerald, Jeff "Wez", Ted, Bill, Jeff "Wanker", Josh, and Wayne.
Kent was preceded in death by: Robert and Beulah Oneal, his beloved grandparents, as well as his uncle, Tom Oneal, and brother-in-law, Dan Raasch, along with his grandparents, Gramps and Grandma Nash.
A celebration of life and cookout "Kent Style" will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025 from 1:00-5:00 p.m. at Steve & Jill's house. Please mark your calendar to remember a man that we will hold dear to our heart, the laughter we shared, and the love that he generously gave. May his memory remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew him.
