Joshua Neal Tackett Sr.

TACKETT, Joshua Neal Sr., age 37 of Springfield passed away tragically on April 6, 2022 at 10:35 a.m. He was born on January 30, 1985 in Springfield, Ohio the son of the late Terry Tackett and Leanna Heskett. In addition to his father, Josh is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Wilson E. Heskett; paternal grandmother, Jean Tackett, maternal great-grandfathers, Silas Oren and Ted Klontz; aunt Pam Coffey and dear friend, Wayne Holloway. In addition to his mother, Leanna, Josh leaves behind his children: Nevaeh Tackett, Joshua Tackett Jr., and Eradynn Tackett; great-grandmother Mary Klontz; grandmother, Cheryl Jones; sister Amber (Ben Casey) Baker; brother Jason (Derion Whaley) Puckett Jr.; half sister, Tonna Wilson; half brother Brandon Bryan and girlfriend Jennylin Pauley. He is also survived by uncles: Eric (Jami) Heskett, Aaron (Heather Kreisman) Heskett, Marty (Rhonda) Heskett, Mike Oren, Ed (Tresa) Oren, Virgil Coffey, and Danny Klontz; aunts: Veronda (Drexel) Oren, Denise (Tim) Cooper, Debbie Tackett-Woodford and Christy Tackett; step-aunts Cathy Jones, Glenna Cunningham and Kristy Jones; nieces: Taylor Bennett, Kenslee Casey and Namara Bielawski; mothers of his children: Heather Rose and Danielle Ream, special cousins, Jake (Beth) Cooper; dear longtime friend, Amanda Stump and Michael Bennett as well as numerous extended family members and friends. Josh enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He never met a stranger and was willing to give you anything he could. Josh's children were his biggest accomplishment and loved them with his whole heart. He will forever be missed by those that knew him. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, April 15, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. If you have a favorite memory or story about Josh you are encouraged to come and share.
