Joshua Caleb Stacy, 36, of Springfield, Ohio, formerly of Cannel City, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. He was born on December 3, 1984, in Georgetown, Ohio, the son of Veldon Stacy and Denise (Wells). Josh is survived by his mother, Denise (Gary) Kuhn; father, Veldon (Nina) Stacy; wife, Farrah Jolene Stacy; daughter, Payton Stacy; step-daughters, Brooklynn and Haylie Martin; sisters, Tonyae Wells and Jessicae Stacy (William Faris); brothers, Alex (Lindsey) Stacy and Blaze Roberts; grandmothers, Phyllis Wells and Evalee Stacy; nephews and nieces, Austin Hall, Lillie, Ashlynn, Ryan Gavin, and William Faris; special aunt and uncle, Stacie (Burton) Stacy; close friend, Mikey Hacker; and numerous other extended family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Walter Wells and Homer Stacy; and nephews, Tyler Roberts and Aaron Faris. Josh had a heart of gold and was loved by all. He was a jokester and story teller who loved to tell tall tales. Josh never met a stranger and you never heard a negative word from his mouth about anyone. He loved and missed the eastern hills of Kentucky and he enjoyed 4-wheeling, hunting and bonfires with his family and friends whom he dearly loved. Josh previously worked at Meijer Distribution where he made many friends and currently, he was employed by Topre. Josh will forever be remembered by his love for his family and friends and he never left them without saying “I love you” along with a big hug. A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at his aunt Stacie and uncle Burton’s house, 4251 Highway 844, Cannel City, Kentucky, 41408 beginning at 1p.m. Contributions in memory of Josh can be made to help with mental health and addiction awareness by visiting www.shatterproof.org or to the funeral home to help his family with expenses.
