WOOTEN, Jesse age 75 of Springfield, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 after a year of failing health. He was born on April 25, 1948 to the late William and Mary (Patrick) Wooten in Hazard, Kentucky. In addition to his parents, Jesse was preceded in death by his in-laws, Charlie Hamblin, Dessie Hamblin; brother, Willie Wooten; brother-in-law, Paul Miller; sisters-in-law, Brenda Nier and Betty Gulasa. His memory will live on through his beloved wife of 54 years, Judy (Hamblin) Wooten; siblings: Danis (Darlene) Wooten, Kenneth (Karen) Wooten and Martha Miller; Judy's siblings: Donald (Joyce) Hamblin, Earl (Pauline) Hamblin, and Vickie (Tom) Patrick, step-mother-in-law, Michel Hamblin, step-sisters-in-law; Charlotte Farris and Jessie Reichard, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jesse was employed by Price Brothers Company as an inspector and then as plant manager. He took pride in making his flowers beautiful at his home and planting his vegetable garden. Jesse enjoyed building model airplanes, making different crafting projects and constructing exquisite bird houses. He also had a passion for old cars and watching NASCAR racing. He will be sadly missed by all that knew him. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. with his funeral beginning at 12:00 p.m. Pastor Pauline Hamblin officiating.
