James H. Flannery Jr.

July 9, 1963 — May 15, 2024

London

Flannery, James Huston Jr., 60, of London, Ohio, formerly of Springfield, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 15, 2024 at London Health and Rehab Center. He was surrounded by his daughters' love and comfort as he was called home to be with God and his dearly missed family. He was born July 9, 1963 in Springfield, the youngest son of the late James H. Flannery, Sr. and Kathleen L. (Wagle) Flannery. James was a loving father to Emily (Anthony) Wilson, Laura (Chris) Zukoski, and Marlene Abshear, who survive him. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, Chevi, Levi, Tristyn, T.J., and Keegan James (Wilson), Xavier, Nixie, and Coraline (Zukoski), Alexandria, and Sebastian (Abshear), and his nephew Jason Lindemann. He remained friends with his ex-wife, and mother of his daughters, Tammy Fender throughout his life, along with her husband Dave. James (Jaimie) was always the fun son, brother, dad, uncle, friend, and neighbor who loved and had extensive knowledge of the best music, which he loved sharing with others. Although most people had no idea who Todd Rundgren or Utopia were, Jaimie was always happy to invite them into his stereo room and play their music so they could see what they were missing. If you had a favorite Pink Floyd, Beatles, Neil Young, Meatloaf, or Creedence song, he was certain to have the album and overjoyed to play it for you. He was also a car enthusiast especially for all things Mopar, particularly his beloved 1969 Roadrunner. He worked as a Shipping Manager for many years at the Kreider Corporation in Springfield before moving to London to be nearer to his daughters and grandchildren. In London, he worked at the Stanley Electric Company before retiring due to health reasons. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Debbie Frisbie, Dale Kevin Flannery, and his beloved Siamese cat, Ming Toi III.
