James Bruce Brown, 81, of Cedarville, passed away in his home on Monday, June 24, 2024. He was born on September 7, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, the son of the late Ephraim and Claudia Mae (Kirksey) Brown. James is survived by his children, Raqel K. Brown, Aaron J. Brown and Nicole K. Leyva; grandchildren, Ayden Howie, Arianna Brown, Audrea Ramirez, Alyssia Lemire, Abigail Leyva, Sofia Leyva; great-grandchildren, Reagan Ware and River Lemire; and previous spouse, Karen E. Davis. He was preceded in death by his sister and brothers, Delores (Brown) Smith, Isaac Brown and Ephraim Brown, Jr. James worked at Navistar for over 30 years before retiring. Beyond his professional life, James had a multitude of interests that brought him joy and fulfillment. He had a deep love for reading and studying various religions, constantly seeking knowledge and understanding. In his leisure time, he found solace in the soulful melodies of jazz music and shared his musical talents by playing the saxophone with skill and passion.
