Iola Marie Shrader

Iola Marie Shrader, 93, of Springfield, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on August 2, 2021 with family by her side. She was born on November 4, 1927, in Gallipolis, Ohio, the daughter of the late Russell and Rosa (Altizer) Saunders. Iola is preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Shrader in 1991; daughter, Cheryl King; siblings, Ann Mullins, Al Saunders, Kathryn Heffner, Robert Saunders and Yvonne Meredith; and daughter-in-law, Sandra Lee Shrader. She is survived by her children, Steve (Keylin) Shrader, Patty (John) Gilleland and Jeffrey Shrader; grandchildren, William (Rachel) Gilleland, Joshua (Kelly) Gilleland, Sean (Jackie) Gilleland, Richard Burns and Randy (Tonya) Burns; great-grandchildren, Carson, Austin, Zara, Devin, Wyatt, Prestyn and Kaynen Gilleland and Rachel and Luke Burns; and several nieces and nephews. Iola loved travelling and especially loved sitting on the beach. Her family meant the world to her and her world revolved around them. She enjoyed nothing more than spending time together at family gatherings and her beautiful smile will be missed by all. Viewing will be held on Monday, August 9, 2021 from 11a.m.-1p.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center with service beginning at 1p.m. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Oak Dale Cemetery, Urbana, Ohio.
