Gordon Byron Collinsworth

COLLINSWORTH, Gordon Byron, age 69, of New Carlisle, Ohio, went to be with the Lord Thursday, August 20, 2020 in Dayton, Ohio. Gordon was born on January 28, 1951 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Leslie and Lois (Phipps) Collinsworth. He is preceded in death by brother-in-laws: Clayton Adams and Cleatis Howard; and niece: Vickie Collinsworth. Gordon is survived by four children: Deanna, Leslie (DaVit), Kimberly, and Gordon; brother: Wandsfel (Jeanie) Collinsworth; sisters: Faye Adams, Lenore Howard, Linda (Dave) Barnhart, Bonnie (Roger) Blair, Rheaetta (Bob) Campbell, and Portia (Steve) Blair; four granddaughters; seven great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gordon served in the United States Marine Corps. for six years where he served in Vietnam. He was also a member of Renewed Strength Church in Westville, Ohio. Gordon had a strong faith and loved God. He was well-known for his amazing love for others. The family will have a celebration of life to honor Gordon. Care entrusted to JACKSON, LYTLE & LEWIS LIFE CELEBRATION CENTER.
