George R. Parcher

George Rolland Parcher, 73 of Springfield, Ohio went to Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior on July 22, 2023 in Columbus, Ohio. He was born on November 20, 1949 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late George and Elva (Rolland) Parcher. George is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Diane (Wilhite) Parcher, son, Scott Parcher, sister, Donna (Tim) Smelser, and nephews, Timothy (Amy) and Jason “Jay” (Lori). Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Lynn Parcher.

George retired from Colgate-Palmolive after over 33 years of service. He was a charter member of Southgate Baptist Church, Springfield and Palmcroft Church, Phoenix, Arizona. George had a strong servant’s heart and loved the ministry. He taught Crown Financial Ministry, served in the Alongside Ministry- Phoenix, Arizona, served as the head usher and financial secretary at Southgate Baptist for many years, led AWANA, and was a member of the Gideons International. In his free time, George enjoyed golfing and fellowshipping. Most of all, George loved his family dearly. He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing and loving him. 

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 10:00-12:00 p.m. at the Southgate Baptist Church, Springfield. The Celebration of Life will begin at 12:00 p.m., also at the church, officiated by Pastor Eric Mounts and Pastor Jeremy Willetts.
