Gary Ray Malone, beloved father, brother, and grandfather passed away peacefully on September 14, 2023. He was born on May 30, 1957 in Marion, Ohio to the late Denver and Jessie (Sizemore) Malone. In addition to his parents, he was reunited in Heaven with his sisters and brothers-in-law, Ella Mae and Roger Imbody, Kathy and Gary Byrd and brother and sister-in-law, Ronald and Connie Malone.
Gary possessed a vibrant and lively personality that brought joy to those around him. He was often known for his goofy antics and his talent for storytelling. A natural prankster, Gary loved to keep those close to him entertained with his mischievous sense of humor. He had a unique gift for composing his own songs and sharing them with others. His presence would always light up any room he entered.
As a devout Christian, Gary had a deep love for worship and singing. A passionate follower of Jesus, he found solace and comfort in his faith. Gary's unshakeable belief in God carried him through difficult times and provided him with strength.
In addition to his unwavering faith, Gary took pride in serving his country as a member of the Ohio National Guard. His commitment to duty and willingness to protect others exemplified his selflessness and dedication.
Outside of his military service and spiritual pursuits, Gary enjoyed several hobbies that brought him great pleasure. Fishing was one of his favorite pastimes; he found serenity on the water as he cast his line into the depths and waited impatiently for a bite. He also found joy in horseback riding, feeling at one with nature as he galloped along scenic trails.
Gary's passing leaves an immense void in the lives of his surviving family members whom he held dear. He is survived by his loving children: Natalie (Jason) Crow, Adam (Natosha) Malone, Jonathan (Taysia) Malone; as well as his cherished grandchildren: Josylnn, Addison, Kael, Andrue, Victoria, Peyton, Adriana, Lucas, Christian, Ella, Keegan, Alex, and Josiah. Gary is also survived by his brother, Donald Malone and sister-in-law Crystal Malone.
In this time of grief and loss, Gary's family finds solace in knowing that he has now run into the loving arms of Jesus. His remarkable spirit will forever be engraved in their hearts and the memories shared will be treasured for generations to come.
The visitation to honor Gary's life will take place on September 19th, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Dream City Church located at 705 Linden Ave in Springfield. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM at the same location.
