Franklin David Jacks

Franklin David Jacks, age 83, of Springfield, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2022. He was born on August 6, 1938, in Pomeroy, Ohio, the son of the late Mylie W. and Lula M. (Chapman) Jacks. He is survived by his daughters, Pam (Jeff) Esterline and Beverly (James) Harris; son, Richard David; daughter-in-law, Angie Jacks; grandchildren, Joshua (Ashley) Esterline, Beverly (Jeff) Williams, Jaccob Harris, Jacob Starcher and Hope and Shalina Beliveau; great-grandchildren, Jasmyn Esterline (Ryan Keeton), Alexis (Noah) Lewis, Serenity Esterline and Emma Williams; great-great grandson, Mason Keeton; brother, Robert Jacks; daughters of his longtime girlfriend, Wilma (Ed) Beliveau and Bonnie Green; and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved and adored. He was preceded in death by his son, Steven Michael; granddaughter, Amber Beliveau; longtime companion, Helen Green and her daughter, Sharon Green; 4 brothers and 6 sisters. Dave retired after many years from Johnson's Catering Trucks. He loved gardening, particularly tending to his tomato plants because to him, there was nothing better than an old fashion tomato sandwhich. He was known by many names, David, Dave, Uncle Dickie, Uncle Frankie and Uncle Dick depending on who was talking to him. No matter what you called him, the one thing everyone could agree upon was that he was a fun loving man who adored his family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially at family reunions. Gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 from 11a.m.-1p.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center with service beginning at 1p.m. Pastor Alex Turner will be officiating.
