Florence Mae Dihrkop, 93, died peacefully on July 23, 2021 after a period of declining health.
She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley and her sister Jean Sprigg. A life-long
resident of Yellow Springs, Florence was the daughter of Orpha (Harness) Hering and Floyd
Jenkins and graduated from Bryan High School in 1947. She is survived by three daughters:
Kathy (Lonnie) Curtsinger, Ocala, Florida; Pam (Tim) McLinden, Yellow Springs; and Linda
(Tom) Riemenschneider, Worthington, Ohio. Also surviving are seven grandchildren: Kelly
McLinden (Rick), Kimberly (Shane) Bisson, Kirsten (Chadd) Friedman, Chris Curtsinger, Tricia
McLinden (Ryan), Katie Riemenschneider (Kyle), and Tommy Riemenschneider, as well as
seven great-grandchildren. Her family meant everything to Florence, and she will be missed by
all.
A celebration of Florence’s life will be held on Saturday, July 31, at Jackson, Lytle, and Lewis
Funeral Home in Yellow Springs, with visitation from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon and a funeral
service to follow. Burial will be in Glen Forest Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.jacksonlytle.com.
