Faith Ann Cutlip, born on February 19, 1969, in Springfield, Ohio, passed away on March 1, 2025, in her beloved hometown. She was a remarkable woman whose heart was as vast as the love she shared with everyone who crossed her path.
Faith became known as “The babysitter” in Springfield; a title that truly encapsulated her spirit. She was more than just a caregiver; she was the heart of her close community, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her door was always open, welcoming any that needed comfort or a listening ear. Those fortunate enough to step into her home were often greeted with a cheerful, “Hey, can you go get me Tim's?" Her love for those around her transcended typical boundaries, and she was affectionately referred to as the Mother Teresa of the neighborhood.
Throughout her life, Faith inspired countless individuals, guiding them and helping to shape them into the people they are today. Her infectious spirit and genuine care knew no bounds. For her, every day was an opportunity to spread joy, often through her humming or spontaneous singing of “All by Myself,” bringing both laughter and light into the lives of others, no matter how they felt at the moment.
Faith held a special place in her heart for the Hilltop Spiritual Church, where her connection with the community flourished. She loved to talk, and her warm conversations left a lasting impression on all who encountered her. As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she created a loving environment filled with memories that will be cherished for generations.
She leaves behind her devoted husband of almost 35 years, Joseph Cutlip, and their children: Kyanna (Aaron) Bales, Shanice (Nykalas) Gilliam, Yvonne Cutlip, Dylan Sanders, Seth Cutlip and Haley Mollett. Faith also had the joy of being a grandmother to Carson Fowler, Aneissa Brooks, Easton Cutlip, and Ethan Brooks, who will forever hold the vibrant essence of their grandmother in their hearts. In addition, Faith leaves behind several siblings who will forever hold her in their hearts, Mickey Powell, Vicky Powell, Dottie Powell, Rhonda Hughes, Mike Powell, Jamie Powell, Tony (Mary) Cutlip, Tammy Perrin, Alice (Jim) Haerr and Genevieve Cutlip.
While we mourn the loss of Faith Ann Cutlip, we celebrate a life well-lived and a spirit that will never be forgotten. She is preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Aneissa Cutlip, her parents, Melvin K. and Margaret L. Powell, her sister, Brenda Powell, and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard and Connie Cutlip.
