Ethel Jean Waulk

Ethel Jean Waulk, age 74 of Springfield, Ohio passed away on September 2, 2023. She was born May 15, 1949 in Springfield, Ohio to the late Edward and Ada (Williams) Johnson. Jean is survived by her loving children, Jeffery Haught, Garrett (Robert) Haggard, Darren (Dawn) Haught, Michael Haught, Nathan Waulk, Dustin Waulk, and Maria Waulk, grandchildren, Dominic Waulk, Chance Haught, Blake Haught, Cohen Haught, Nicholas Haught, and Noah Haught, sisters, Betty Simmons, Cora Story, Lula Ater, and Helen Kelley, and many loved nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Waulk, sisters, Thelma Tyree, Georgia Chandler, Sadie Kepler, and Elizabeth Roberts.

Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved to joke and spend time with her family. Jean was a caregiver at the Friends Care Community in Yellow Springs for many years. She also worked at Weaver’s Grocery Store, Antioch College as a cook, and at Wooded Glen Health Campus as a dietary aid. In her free time, she also enjoyed going shopping, eating out with her kids, and traveling, especially back home to the hills of Peebles. Jean loved music and was a very talented pianist. She will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure to know and love her.
