Loretta Hurst

Emma Hurst, “Loretta” 75, of Portland, Tennessee, passed on November 3, 2023 at Skyline Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. She was born January 9,1948 in Springfield, Ohio. She was preceded by her parents, Betty (Slayton) Swyers & James Ralph Swyers; sisters, Christine & Cindy Swyers; brothers, Floyd “Jack”, Jimmy & George; and her daughter, Tina Keefer. She is survived by her brother, Lloyd “Billy” Swyers; daughter, Emmett Carter (Patana); son, Dee Carter; daughter, Trina Keefer; grandsons, Donte' and Alan Keefer and Dorian Carter; and granddaughter, Dominique Carter. She is also survived by four grandchildren and Kenny Dalton, her longtime partner. Loretta loved to fish, play cards, and spend quality time with family and her beloved Pugs, Jesse James and Pugsley. She loved her front porch view out in the country. Loretta’s Services will be held at Ingling Williams & Lewis Funeral Home in South Charleston, Ohio on November 13, 2023. Visitation will be 12-1pm. Her Celebration of Life will follow before a gathering at her final resting place where she will finally join her parents and siblings at Greenlawn Cemetery.
