Elizabeth J. Danowski, age 85, of Yellow Springs, Ohio passed away Friday, September 25, 2020. She was born to the late Stephen and Mary (Tursic) Selinsky on January 24, 1935 in Forest City, Pennsylvania. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband: Edmund; brother: Paul; and sisters: Jean, Dorothy (Tootsie) and Geraldine. She is survived by her children: Michael (Susan), Stephen (Lynden), Paul, and Marianne (Marty) Sapp; brothers: Joseph and Robert; and sisters: Margaret, Bernie, and Maryann. She was a wonderful spirit, wife, mother, and friend. Elizabeth and Edmund got married in 1958 as RN and MD. After Edmund’s death in 1970, she admirably raised four children as a young widow while pursuing a Master’s degree in counseling in order to help others further. For the last 30 years, she lived in and loved Yellow Springs and Yellow Springs loved her in return with wonderful friends, neighbors, the Unitarian Fellowship and Glen Helen amongst the treasures. Many celebrations of her life will be held at suitable times and locations. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to local organizations helping those in need.
