Elden George Glispie, age 78, passed away on April 19, 2022. He was born on February 17, 1944 in South Solon, Ohio to the late Leonard and Minnie (Brown) Glispie. Elden graduated from Madison South High School in 1962. He married Patricia Glispie in 1964. In 1967, he was drafted into the United States Army where he served as a communications specialist stationed in Korea. Upon completion of his tour, he resumed his job at Robbins and Myers where he retired after 35 years.
Elden is survived by loving wife, Patrica, children; Christina (William) Higbee, Scott (Jen) Glispie, Nickie (Tom) Bevington, 11 grandchildren; Aaron (Kiley), Ross, Tori, Ryan, Alisha, Matthew, Jacob, Seth, Taylor, Sara, and Noah and one brother, Donnie (Joanie). Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters; Olive and Mary, brothers; Charles, James, Kenny and Edward, and numerous nieces and nephews whom he loved very much. He was an avid hunter, bowler, Cleveland Cavs fan, and most of all, a master gardener.
Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 11:00-1:00 p.m. at the Ingling Williams and Lewis Funeral Home, South Charleston, Ohio. The funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Bruce Sigmon. Burial to follow at South Solon Cemetery.
