Doris Jean Spradlin, 77, of Springfield, passed away at Springfield Regional Medical Center on December 8, 2019 after complications from surgery and a lengthy illness. She was born on March 22, 1942, in Springfield, Ohio. Doris worked at JC Penney’s for 30 years, loved to dance and loved Vince Gill. She was known to be stubborn, set in her ways and didn’t like to be told what to do or what to eat. Every day of the week she had to have her quarter pounder and fountain coke from McDonalds. She was full of life and brought much joy to her family. Doris is survived by her beloved husband, Leon Spradlin; daughter, Terrie and Doug Cosner and their children, Tony (Courtney) Catanzaro and Samantha (James) Boswell; son, Rob Mannering and his children, Ashley (Brian) Kinsler, Mike (Ashley) Mannering and Amber Mannering; daughter, Shelly Tuttle (Bobby Shaffer) and her children, Dylan, Cassidy and Skyler; great-grandchildren, Lydia, Tytus, Roman, Callan, Sabrina, Kayden, Savannah, Aniyah, Marcel and Kayla; brother, Ed Elliott; step children, Tammy (Jim) Chapman, Missy (Tim) McBlane, Tracie (Rob) Bostic, Mindy Jacks, Crissy (Travis) Sears; and several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her late husband, Stan Mannering; parents, Thomas and Eileen Elliott; and sisters, Mary Kibby and Patricia Jenkins. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, December 11, 2019 from 5:30-6:00p.m with a memorial service beginning at 6p.m. at Jackson Lytle & Lewis Life Celebration Center.
